Terms and Conditions

By entering the Kaimai Spring Kit Giveaway (“the Competition”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter

The Competition is run by Kaimai Outdoors (“Kaimai”, “we”, “us”), 22 Hounsell Road, Burbush, Hamilton 3288, New Zealand.

2. Competition period

• Opens: Sunday 11 October 2026.
• Closes: 11:59pm NZDT, Sunday 15 November 2026.

Entries received outside this period will not be counted. Time is determined by Kaimai’s systems.

3. Who can enter

3.1. The Competition is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.

3.2. Employees of Kaimai and its related companies, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

3.3. Kaimai may ask the winner to verify their eligibility, including age and residency, before the prize is awarded.

4. How to enter

4.1. No purchase is necessary.

4.2. To enter, complete all required fields and submit the entry form at kaimaioutdoors.com/pages/spring-kit-giveaway during the Competition period. This is the only way to enter. Clicking the promotional pop-up or visiting the Competition page does not constitute an entry.

4.3. Existing Kaimai email subscribers can enter by completing the same entry form. They do not need to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to enter.

4.4. There is a limit of one entry per person. Duplicate entries will not provide additional chances to win. Entries using multiple email addresses, or made by automated means or third parties, are not permitted and may be disqualified.

4.5. Entry is complete when the entry form has been successfully submitted and a confirmation message is displayed. You do not need to receive or open a confirmation email for your entry to be valid.

4.6. Kaimai is not responsible for entries that are late, lost, incomplete or not received due to technical or network issues.

4.7. Making a purchase does not increase your chances of winning.

5. Email marketing consent

5.1. By entering, you consent to receive marketing emails from Kaimai Outdoors, including information about new products, offers and campaigns.

5.2. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails. Unsubscribing does not remove your Competition entry or affect your chances of winning. We may still contact you about your entry or to notify you if you win.

5.3. Providing a phone number does not constitute consent to receive marketing text messages. Your phone number will only be used to contact you if you are the winner.

5.4. Our marketing emails are sent in accordance with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

6. The prize

6.1. There is one winner, who will receive one Kaimai Spring Prize Pack containing seven items.

The winner chooses one clothing item from each of these five categories, from the eligible products listed in Schedule 1:

• 1 × Jacket.
• 1 × Fleece or Sweatshirt.
• 1 × Hooded Shirt.
• 1 × Short or Pant.
• 1 × Tee or Singlet.

The prize pack also includes:

• 1 × Unisex Boonie Hat.
• 1 × Unisex Neck Gaiter.

The Boonie Hat and Neck Gaiter are fixed prize styles. The winner cannot select an alternative style for these accessories, except where a substitute is necessary under clause 6.3.

6.2. The total recommended retail value of the prize pack ranges from NZ$454.93 to NZ$514.93, including GST, depending on the clothing items selected. The maximum prize value is not guaranteed for every combination.

6.3. Eligible clothing products are those listed in Schedule 1. The winner’s preferred styles, colours and sizes are subject to availability when the prize is selected. If an eligible clothing item or included accessory is unavailable, Kaimai may provide a substitute within the same category of equal or greater recommended retail value.

6.4. The prize is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be redeemed for store credit or gift cards. Substitutions are only permitted as described in clause 6.3.

6.5. Kaimai will deliver the prize to a New Zealand address provided by the winner at no cost to the winner. Any other costs associated with accepting or using the prize are the winner’s responsibility.

6.6. Prize items are subject to Kaimai’s standard product care guidance. Prizes are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. This does not limit any rights the winner may have under applicable New Zealand consumer law.

7. Winner selection and notification

7.1. The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries received during the Competition period.

7.2. The draw will take place in New Zealand within seven days of the Competition closing, on or before Sunday 22 November 2026.

7.3. The winner will be notified by email, using the address provided at entry, within three working days of the draw. Kaimai may also contact the winner using the phone number provided at entry if they do not respond to the email.

7.4. The winner must respond within seven working days of the initial notification email and provide their clothing selections, preferred colours and sizes, and a New Zealand delivery address.

7.5. If the winner does not respond within this time, cannot be contacted, or is found to be ineligible, Kaimai may withdraw the prize from that entrant and draw a replacement winner. The same notification and response process will apply to any replacement winner.

7.6. Kaimai’s decisions concerning the administration of the Competition and selection of the winner are final, subject to any rights entrants have under applicable law.

7.7. Kaimai will dispatch the prize within 10 calendar days of receiving the winner’s confirmed selections and delivery address. If an availability issue causes a delay, Kaimai will notify the winner and arrange a substitute under clause 6.3 where necessary.

8. Publicity

8.1. By entering, you agree that, if you win, Kaimai may announce your first name and general location, for example “Sarah from Hamilton”, through Kaimai’s email marketing and social media channels.

8.2. Kaimai will ask for your consent before using any photos, quotes or other content you provide for promotional purposes. You may decline without losing the prize.

9. Privacy

9.1. Kaimai collects the information you provide through the entry form, which may include your name, email address, phone number, city, age range, gender, interests and how you heard about us.

9.2. We use this information to administer the Competition, verify eligibility, contact the winner, understand our audience and tailor our marketing emails. Your phone number will only be used to contact you if you win.

9.3. Required fields are identified on the entry form. If you do not provide the required information, we cannot complete your entry. Optional information is not required to enter or win.

9.4. If you are the winner, we will also collect your delivery address and prize selections to arrange delivery.

9.5. Your information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy. You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@kaimaioutdoors.com.

9.6. We use service providers to administer the Competition, manage email marketing and deliver the prize. These include Klaviyo, Shopify and delivery couriers. Some providers store or process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. We do not sell your personal information.

9.7. Competition entry records will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the draw, deliver the prize, resolve related queries and meet applicable legal obligations. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not immediately delete your Competition entry.

9.8. Marketing information will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and your subscription preferences. We may retain limited information needed to record your consent or unsubscribe request and ensure your preferences are respected.

9.9. If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

10. Disqualification

Kaimai may disqualify an entry or withhold the prize if it reasonably believes an entrant has:

• Breached these Terms and Conditions.
• Provided false or misleading information.
• Entered by automated, fraudulent or unfair means.
• Attempted to obtain additional entries using multiple email addresses.
• Tampered with the entry process or operation of the Competition.

11. Liability

11.1. To the extent permitted by law, Kaimai excludes liability for loss, damage or injury suffered in connection with the Competition or prize, except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11.2. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights or remedies available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or other applicable New Zealand law.

12. Changes, suspension or cancellation

12.1. If circumstances beyond Kaimai’s reasonable control materially affect the Competition, including technical failure, fraud or a change in law, Kaimai may make changes reasonably necessary to administer the Competition fairly, or suspend or cancel it where necessary.

12.2. Any changes will be published on the Competition’s Terms and Conditions page. Kaimai will take reasonable steps to notify affected entrants of material changes.

12.3. Any action under this clause remains subject to applicable New Zealand law and entrants’ rights.

13. Social media

13.1. Entries can only be made through the entry form on the Competition page. Commenting, liking, sharing, tagging or messaging Kaimai on social media does not constitute an entry or provide additional chances to win.

13.2. The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or any other social media platform on which it is promoted.

13.3. To the extent permitted by law, entrants release those social media platforms from liability connected with the Competition.

14. General

14.1. Entry into the Competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

14.2. These Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law, and the courts of New Zealand have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

14.3. This is a free-entry promotion. No payment or purchase is required to enter or claim the prize.

14.5. These Terms and Conditions apply specifically to the Competition. If there is an inconsistency between these Terms and Kaimai’s general Terms of Service concerning the Competition, these Terms prevail.

Schedule 1: Eligible products

The winner chooses one product from each of the five clothing categories below. One Unisex Boonie Hat and one Unisex Neck Gaiter are included in every prize pack.

The listed prices are recommended retail prices in New Zealand dollars, including GST, used to calculate the prize value. Colours and sizes are subject to availability. Any sale price does not change the stated RRP calculation.
